the Fair Game (Scientology) article
[edit]Fair_Game_(Scientology) I am about to make large, sweeping changes to that article. As your name appears as one of the editors, as you seem to be as misinformed as other editors who have created false and misleading information there, I thought you would want to know. Feel free to message me either on my user talk page or in the discussion area of that article where I have estensively spelled out the reasons for the changes I'll be making. I've just come across your comment on the Brethren of the Free Spirit. Do you happen to know if group sexual practice was included in their beliefs? I'm trying to confirm this for a book I'm writing. Thank you.

Introvigne
--Tilman 19:49, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
I don't think this is a secret - at least its also mentioned in the first para of Pontifical University of the Holy Cross - you could check the sources there or ask for them. I probably did look up some (critical) Italian or Spanish sources on Opus Dei and Introvigne as well but I can't recall any details at the moment. There is especially one Introvigne Critic Celeber, Celebex or so. Irmgard 10:08, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Comment on User:GLGermans statements regarding German Wikipedia
[edit]Just for the record: de:Benutzer:Irmgard used no admin function but requested a page protection due to ongoing edit war [2]. Page was protected by a neutral admin [3]. Later GLGerman and a third user were blocked by another admin for 6 hours due to a perceived edit war on the talk page of the protected article [4]. There might be some doubts about this edit war, but these two users do have a history of mutual edit wars and both have been blocked repeatedly for this [5] [6] - so several admins do have their hand on the trigger when they read these names. de:Benutzer:Jergen did not abuse his admin powers either: he reported today an obvious personal attack by GLGerman on me in the correct place [7], and GLGerman was blocked for 12 hours by the same neutral admin as on 2nd March [8], which was seen as rather too short a period by two more admins (which are not Evangelical either) [9]. Irmgard 15:02, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- just for the record, Irmgard is the most evangelical promoter on german wikipedia and translates the most evangelical articles from english to german wikipedia. And so people, who write on german wikipedia for homosexual and liberal religious themes, have on german wikipedia the most conflicts with german admin Irmgard. GLGerman 15:58, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
WikiProject updates
[edit]- I have done some updating to the WP:SCN, added some new articles, added a "to do" list to the top of the project, and fixed up some categories and assessment stuff. I suggest we should all pick one article at a time, or at most two, to work on bringing up to Featured Article status. You could give input on the project's talk page... Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Irmgard! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Heinrich Bolleter - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Gabriel of Comane - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 19:41, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
The article Gabriel of Comane has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- A search for references failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources to comply with notability requirements. This included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals, which can be seen from the following links:
Gabriel of Comane – news, books, scholar
Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Abductive (reasoning) 10:53, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:54, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Credo Reference Update & Survey (your opinion requested)
[edit]Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:
- Link to Survey (should take between 5-10 minutes): http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/N8FQ6MM
It also asks some basic questions about what you like about the Credo program and what you might want to improve.
At this time only the initial 400 editors have accounts, but even if you do not have an account, you still might want to weigh in on which resources would be most valuable for the community (for example, through WikiProject Resource Exchange).
Also, if you have an account but no longer want to use it, please leave me a note so another editor can take your spot.
If you have any other questions or comments, drop by my talk page or email me at wikiocaasi@yahoo.com. Cheers! Ocaasi t | c 17:20, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
